Now used in over 100 countries, the latest edition of the International Valuation Standards (IVS) was published on Jan. 31, 2024, and has an effective date of Jan. 31, 2025, one year later.1 The International Valuation Standards Council developed the standards, and the new version is a “significant update,” which includes new chapters on data and inputs, documentation, and financial instruments. The 2024 edition also features improved navigation and integrated digital tools, making it the most accessible and intuitive IVS to date (see the article in this issue for more details).
