University Licensing Activity Holds Its Own During Recession
On October 11, the Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM) indicated their survey shows that university start-ups and licensing activity remained strong even at the height of the recession (in 2009). The AUTM survey found that nearly 600 university start-ups were created in 2009, and the number of licenses rose by 5.6%. The complete survey is available for a modest charge from AUTM.
