First quarter 2007 saw V.C. disbursements of over $7.05 billion, led by investments in the software, biotech, and medical devices/equipment sectors. Compare this to the quarterly range of investment in 2006 ($6.21 - $6.93 billion) and 2005 ($5.09 - $6.34 billion).
