Based on feedback to the fourth exposure draft of USPAP, a fifth exposure draft will be issued, according to a statement from The Appraisal Foundation (TAF). The group’s Appraisal Standards Board will continue to develop proposed changes to the ethics rule designed to emphasize the prohibition against unethical and illegal discrimination or bias when developing an opinion of value. The changes are mostly directed at real estate appraisers, but they apply to all appraisers. The board will announce when the next exposure draft is available, including a public comment deadline and webinar to outline the proposed changes.
